20 Years Cleaning Service Celebrated on Thank Your Cleaner Day 2020.
The 21st October 2020 marked the sixth annual Thank Your Cleaner Day. The annual event is sponsored by cleaning brand Kärcher and the campaign is promoted across more than 30 countries since its first celebration in New Zealand in 2015.
Supported by the Irish Contract Cleaning Association, Drogheda cleaning company, Outsource Support was only too happy to take the opportunity to celebrate. Thank Your Cleaner Day is an initiative in the cleaning industry that acknowledges the hardworking men and women providing daily cleaning services.
Keeping workplaces clean and safe.
Professional cleaners play a vital role in the fight against coronavirus. The pandemic has highlighted the everyday importance of cleaning staff and their role in keeping our workplaces and businesses clean, safe and hygienic.
Graham Hughes, Managing Director of Outsource Support, delivered personal thanks and recognition to the attending janitors, caretakers, cleaners, and cleaning contractors at the company’s National Support Centre for their professionalism and hard work.
While those unable to attend the event due to scheduled cleaning services at client businesses were acknowledged through an in-person visit and gifts presentation.

The event had extra special meaning for one man – Billy Keogh, whose career as a professional cleaner with the Outsource Support management team, has spanned 20 years.
Cleaning staff regularly perform cleaning services out of hours on clients sites, schools, and office buildings, preparing environments for the next business day. Often, unsung heroes, cleaning staff are valuable assets to organisations across all industry sectors. Their essential work facilitates the smooth operation and productivity of many Irish businesses. Gathering for the double celebration, albeit in a socially distanced manner, affirmed the appreciation felt for the vital work carried out by Outsource Support cleaning staff.
