€2,019 Raised for Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre at Boyne Tower.
To mark the official opening of its new National Support Centre, Drogheda Company, Outsource Support hosted a charity coffee morning in its new Drogheda headquarters. Located on the 2nd floor of the Boyne Tower, the facilities services company used the opportunity to raise funds for the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre that provides much-needed comfort for people living with cancer.
Since first opening its doors in 2004, the local charity provides sanctuary to people with cancer and their families within the local community from its Drogheda base. The cancer support centre relies primarily on fundraising and donations from local businesses to run its services, with only ten percent funded through government grants.
Supporting the local community.
Managing Director Graham Hughes thanked the local business community for their continued support. Graham reflected on the significant milestones in the facility services company journey so far that has helped pave the way for the opening of the new National Support Centre. Only five years earlier 2014, Outsource Support announced plans to double its workforce, creating full-time job opportunities for the local community. Today Outsource Support employs over one hundred and sixty staff across its cleaning services, security services and pest control. The company serves clients from a diverse range of industries across Dublin, Louth, Meath and beyond.
Committed to corporate responsibility.
Gallons of tea and coffee paired with designer cupcakes from the award-winning Custom Cakes Company enjoyed by attendees made up of a mixture of clients and members of the wider Drogheda business community.
Speaking at the event in March, Fergal Mc Geough, Director of Site Operations at Wavin Ireland, commended Outsource Support on their commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR). Both companies share a common goal to act socially, ethically and responsibly. As a client of the facility services company, Wavin has observed these principles in action for the past 16 years.
In total €2,019 was raised and presented by Graham to Ann Tracey of the Gary Kelly Cancer Support Centre.
