Fyffes partner with Outsource Support
Outsource Support is a facilities service provider serving Dublin and the North-East of Ireland. We were recently called upon by Fyffes Tropical (Ireland) to provide security, cleaning and hygiene services for their new facility in north Dublin. This case study examines the requirements of the project and explains what made it successful.
About Fyffes Ireland
Our client, Fyffes, is one of the world’s oldest and largest importers and distributors of tropical produce. Founded in 1888, Fyffes is an important global player and a well-established name in the food logistics sector. It employs 5,400 permanent employees globally, as well as between 11,000 and 16,500 seasonal workers.
Fyffes Ireland General Manager Ciarán Sweeney, approached Outsource Support looking for security and cleaning services for the company’s brand new 100,000 sq. ft. distribution facility. Security and cleaning are a priority at the distribution facility, where around one hundred employees work, and which houses millions of Euros worth of stock and equipment.
Fyffes representatives had experienced one of the Outsource Support teams working on an existing multinational client’s facility, and felt that we were the right facility service provider for their needs. They needed safe, efficient and professional security and cleaning on their facility, and they needed to be able to outsource this to a service partner they could trust, leaving them free to focus on their core business activities.
We have considerable experience with the provision of facility service protocols for businesses of all sizes, scales and levels of complexity. We used this experience and expertise to tailor a complete facility solution for the Fyffes facility which includes manned guarding, mobile patrols, key holding and alarm response, remote CCTV monitoring, security audit/ risk assessment, daily office cleaning and sanitisation services. Fyffes approached us during the construction phase, so we were able to plan our solutions and ensure that they were “built-in” to the facility and its day-to-day running before it even became operational.
With consistent communication in both directions, we were able to devise and implement a security solution that perfectly suited the new facility. The client now enjoys comprehensive security and cleaning protocols that keep their facility safe 24 hours a day. These vital support functions have been entirely entrusted to us, meaning that the Fyffes staff can focus on their core operations, secure in the knowledge that their facility is in safe hands.
